I have decided to dedicate my life to following a passion of mine I have had since I was 11 years old. I have always known I loved to travel and see things I have never seen before. Experience firsthand the way people live outside what I have known my whole life.
One day I made the decision to plan my escape from my typical 8 hour work day. The job was great, the money was fantastic, benefits were good, and my co-workers were like family. You can say I was pretty comfortable. Not only was it a great job to work your way up the latter and build a career for yourself but I was really good at the position. I was already getting offers after less then a year to start climbing my way up the company. It was just not what I wanted to be doing as a career and I knew that from day one. I had the mind set that reality and real life doesn’t include making an income off of doing something you love.
After my first solo trip to India my mind set totally changed. Answering customer service calls for a bank was not what I wanted to do with my life. I was starting to work my way up in the company and one day I just knew that I had to get out before I got sucked into something that would be hard to ever escape. If I already knew what I was intended to be doing with my life why was I wasting so much time being unhappy?
So here I am.
I took a huge risk and put my future on the line. I quit my job to become a full time travel blogger/enthusiast. Creating content to help others who were just like me take that leap and follow their passion for travel.
I want to help people gain the positive benefits of solo travel. Solo travel can all around lead you to living a happier and healthier life. I believe a lot of people these days think that they are destined to work for someone else. A huge struggle I started facing which lead to asking myself many questions was having to get approved for time off. Why do I need to get approved to have a day off? Why should you need permission from someone else to take a vacation, see your kids, go to your niece or nephews birthday parties or take a day to relax and improve your mind and body? I was required to work every Sunday before I left my role at a bank. I missed both my niece and nephews past two birthday parties. That to me sounds like a scam and I wanted out.
You have to take risks if you ever want to live a life outside of the typical 9-5 work life 65% of all people get sucked into. No successful business out there can’t say that they didn’t take any risks. Risks are what lead us to successes and failures. If you can’t overcome that first challenge which is to step out of your comfort zone and go for it. That it can never happen.
This website is designed to help you realize your worth.
